No more mouth putty
Patients who have Dental Extras as a part of their private health insurance policy may be covered for at least one mouthguard per person per year.
Rebates vary depending on the health fund and the level of cover held by the patient.
However, many health funds offer full cover for preventative dental services such as mouthguards.
Please call your health fund to confirm the level of cover.
Through the use of the onsite HICAPS terminal, patients can pay for their mouthguard and claim a rebate all at the same time, allowing an easy and seamless process.
If patients do not have private health insurance, the low cost of our mouthguards is a small price to pay to prevent dental damage which may in turn cost significantly more to treat.

Children
For children and adolescents mouthguards will need to be replaced every new season/year.
As their mouths and teeth are rapidly changing, it is important to maintain the custom fit to ensure maximum protection. Please discuss this further with a 1st Dental consultant.
Adults
Adults may not need to change their mouthguard as often.
Signs that the mouthguard needs replacing include: loose fitting guard, pain when wearing, wear and tear in spots on the mouthguard, or a change in the person's dental structure thereby requiring a new custom fit mouthguard.
